What I'm Working On

It seems my hooks are moving but I am not getting much done. I have been working on several projects at once. So this is just a brief update on what I have been doing.I took another break from the fish and made this pair of mittens. I really wanted to try out the pattern that Beth had made for the Bridge Project. You can find the pattern here Mittens. I found the pattern to be the easiest ones I have tried yet. But I have one small complaint. I don't feel the wrist band is tight enough so I may try a decrease in stitches the next time I try these. Other than that if you have never made mittens before the pattern is so easy and written with the beginner in mind. It has very detailed instructions as to what you do next and where to place your stitches. I did use an "H" hook instead of a "G" as called for and I used up two partial skeins of yarn in complimentary colors that I had laying around. They were unbanned so I can't state what they were.

I have also been working on the Roses and Lace Baby Dress (no photo yet). Which is made with thread and the pattern is a purchased one from e-pattern central. See it Here. I am using rose in number 3 Fashion Color Thread. I have the yoke section done and starting on the skirt part now. This is going to a lady in our group who is having a grandchild.

Oh and of course I am still kicking out 4 or 5 fish a day, I hope to have some new photos on that project soon. That's about it for now.

I have never completed a set of mittens before and I made one a half (without the thumb part) last night using this pattern. It is super easy. I used a G and my husband tried it on. He said it is snug but workable.

Those little girl dresses are gorgeous! I love them all.
