February Scarf

Before I talk about this scarf I would like to let you all know that I am now committed to "Crochetless Sundays". What is that you may ask? It is commitment, I am making to myself, that on Sundays from now on I am giving my hooks a chance to cool off and doing some reading I have been putting off and devoting my day to Jehovah. I can do crochet related things as long as I do not pick up a hook. In other words I am giving myself this day each week to catch up on other things I also like to do. End of announcement!

So this is my lasted project finished. It is the February Scarf from over at Blue Crab Crochets at Midnight. I really did not think I would care for this scarf but when it was finished I thought I really like this one.

I used Bernat Miami in Tropical Twist and the hook sizes that the pattern called for, which were "I" and "J". It is a really easy pattern to do and I enjoyed it. It only took me about three hours to complete and it will go to my daughter to match a hat a made her last winter. Now I only have to complete January's scarf and I will be all caught up. Hope I can do that before the new pattern is started on the 20th of this month.

That's it today. Ghost, OUT!

Lovely scarf! I think I saved that pattern. Will have to go and make sure. :-)

I try to do that at least one day a week as well, we get so involved with our craft we tend to let everything else go. I have been on a major clean-up and reorganizing kick, and wow, I am getting rid of so much junk. The scarf is beautiful. I must try it.

Hi! LOVE the scarf AND the colors!!.. As for a day without crochet?.. Wow.. I think I still need to keep my hands busy enough EVERYDAY since I quit smoking. It's hard to imagine sitting idle for too long without at least SOME crochet a day!

Beautiful and I just love how the colors mingle and made patterns. Really nice sis. I never thought of using the ribbon yarn for a scarf. I will have to try it out now.

PS, Love you new look, very spring!!!

Very pretty scarf, Ghost. I'm glad you're taking Sundays "off". You need time to do the other things you enjoy, too. :)
