In The Near Future

Most of my close friends know by now that my sister is bringing me to California in February. I will be leaving on the 18th and returning on March 11th. I am very excited. Anyone who knows me also knows that I am a big list maker. I keep lists of everything. I, of course, have a list of the things I need to pack and what we plan on making while I am there.

My traveling project will be the Going Home Poncho that my daughter wants me to make for her. I will be starting it before I start out and work it on the plane. I hope to finish it while I am there if there is time but if not it will be my project on the plane trip home.

Next month is also Slipper month in one of my groups. Is is the CAL project of the month. So I will be making a lot of slippers next month while with sis. She wants to make some also. We also plan on making two doilies. One of her choice and one of my choice. Other plans for entertainment while I am there are to make some ribbon bows with a bow maker that sis purchased and wants to use and we also plan to learn how to make the Polish Star Stitch.

Anywho, that is the near future plans. And you never know what each day holds so plans can change and there may be some surprises.

Oh, and one other thing for today. The last time I visited with sis I had to borrow a suitcase to get home with because she showered me with so many goodies. Well, this time I was packing light and taking the empty suitcase back to her and she is now telling me that this suitcase is non-returnable and she has given it a name. It is called "The Ya-Ya Sisterhood Yarn Traveling Suitcase." In other words it is to go to California empty, or with my smaller suitcase inside, and it will come home packed with yarn. Oh Lucky Me! I could never stash-bust because my loving sister will not let my supply of yarn diminish. I really am so lucky to be blessed with such a kind-hearted and giving sister.

In the meantime I am trying to finish up started projects before I go so I will not have to worry that I have not fulfilled my promised items to my charities. So today I am devoting to finishing the Fish Motif Afghan for VJGC. It is so very close to done. I have one fish more to make then add the last two rows and add a border. It should be finished today or tomorrow. Hope you all have busy hooks.

I'm looking forward to your visit. The only thing that would make the trip better is if I could afford to bring Alicia too. Someday honey.

Love you,

Love the idea of the traveling sisterhood suitcase! How cute. What a fun trip to get looking forward to, plan for, make lists for. Don't forget a list of what yarn, what needles to take, another one perhaps for what shopping you need to do before you go.

We expect pics naturally of you two!

Hugs
