The Ya-Ya Sisterhood And More

Well, I am working as fast as I can to get two items completed before I head out to California. I am so excited. You know it is so nice to see and talk to each other on line via the iChat video program, but touching is so much nicer. And now since my sister, Scarlet, is melting away I feel as if I must hurry before there is nothing left to hug. I am dying to crush her in my arms it has been a while now since our last visit and I need a break from my routine, and a real time hug.

In the meantime I wanted to Thank her for this lovely gift she made to honor me and our relationship. I know that this center crochet decoration was not easy to make. It takes three rows to complete one round so I know that the stitches that were put into this gift was placed there with love. You have to love the pewter, scrolled artwork button that she used. I think it says it all. Our relationship has had many twists and turns but the love was always there. It is a real beauty and I can't wait to bring it home and show it off. Thanks again, sister of mine.

Another treasure that she sent to me recently were these beautiful hooks. The set includes both the large and small size hooks. And they are so pretty it makes me proud to show my hooks off. I have a lot of hooks and my collection grows almost as quickly as my pattern collection. I love Susan Bates over Boye and sis knows this, so these are Susan Bates. Who could ask for better tools to work their craft with. These are really special but I have used them already and love them. Thanks for these also sis. You always give me the nicest things.

I think your amazing. You can just wip those items out in no time. They all look great. I guess I must of fell behind on a few blogs. I'm caught up now. Going to Scarlet's house is just around the corner. How exciting. I remember reading the blogs when you visited, I think the last time. I know you will have a wonderful time. I'm excited for you.

I just love the pillow..and those hooks are beautiful....I also prefer Susan Bates over Boye, my stitches always slip off the Boye...I do have some Boye, but do not use them unless I absolutely have to, like when I decide to hurry up and make something and the Boye is the only one left in the size I need, because I always keep my hooks with my WIP....
When are you leaving again? I am so senile at times, and when I had not seen a post in a couple of days, I thoughtyu had already left.

It's so nice when sisters can be friends as well as relatives. It blesses me to see such love and devotion. What beautiful hooks! I am a Boye person myself, but I will use the occasional Bates and I do have several in my collection. The pillow is beautiful too. Scarlet does such lovely work.

I am truely amazed at how fast you seem to pump these projects out!

You are so lucky to have someone such as your sister! Nothing like sister to be your friend.
