Off My Hook Wednesday ~ Amazing Star Throw

Do you remember these squares from last Wednesday?

Yes, they are the Amazing Star Squares from the throw I was working on.

And here it is assembled without a border. I did use the Flat Braid Join as stated in last Wednesday's post. I used Caron and Red Heart yarns for the entire throw but the join was done with Caron, Sea Mist.

Here is a photo of the join at the intersections of the throw. I like how they turned out. It all looks so lacy.

The border was the most difficult for me as I wanted to do something a bit different but I am not great at creating design so I did the best I could with the knowledge I have. This is the results of that wee bit of brain work.
Now, I am feeling a bit selfish because my sister begged me to send this to her and I have decided that I want to keep it for myself. It is a good size for a laprobe for a wheelchair recipient, a baby blanket or as you can see it fits perfectly as a pillow cover for a single bed. And there it will stay. I love you sis and want your toe to heal quickly but just feel this one is mine. I will call you that toe truck we talked about. Please forgive me.

That's it today. Ghost, OUT!

Very pretty throw! And great job on the border and joining method. I've never tried that one, but it sure does look nice.

That's such a pretty square pattern, and you did a great job combining colors and creating a beautiful finished blanket!
