What is a Yo-yo? ~ It is simply a small 1 round crocheted circle. It is the inside circle to a granny square. Or if you prefer a larger circle you can make it 2 rounds or 1. Directions below.
What do I do with a Yo-yo? ~ Oh, so many things can be made with this sweet little circle. Anything you can imagine can be made from this cute little circle. Here is a small list of items: I DID NOT MAKE THESE ITEMS
This square is part of an Afghan made with a square by Chris Simon of Yarn Crazy

How do I make a Yo-yo? ~ Do not fear! If you know how to start the inside circle to a granny square then you know how to make a yo-yo. You begin with a chain 3 or 4, join to form a ring, which ever you are comfortable with for a starting ring that will allow 12 dc into it.
Round 1: ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), make 11 dc into center of ring, join with sl st to close. Finish off here. This is a true Yo-yo.
Follow this round only if you want a larger circle.
Round 2: ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), dc once more in same space as join, make 2 dc in each dc from previous round. Finish off.
There you have it, a YO-YO. Simple Right? I believe this is a wonderful project to use up bits of scrap yarn. Have fun with these, they are fast and addicting.
That's it today. Ghost, OUT!
