Pet Pad and Crafting Tools

I finished Gizmo's pet pad. I used several size hooks, selecting whatever was needed to work the weight of the yarn. But mostly it was a size "L". I hope he loves his as much as Jade loves hers. I am not sure if you remember that I made this with a magic ball of yarn (scraps tied together) and then crocheted the ball into a long chain. After which I then crocheted the chain into the pad. It is thick and lucious. Next I have a plan to make a Luna pad also. Stay tuned for that soon.

I recently purchased some items from my group RA_Yarns and More. I really wanted to share the Knitting Thimble. It is such a cool tool and works so very well. It protects your finger from the yarn cutting into it as it glides across your finger. I know I often have a dent, almost permanent, from the yarn on my finger.

I also purchased a flower loom, but have not had time to play with it yet. I saw these dishcloths and they appealed to me so much that I had to finally try my hand at making some loomed flowers. This is something I have never done before, a new craft for me. Wish me good fortune.

And a six prong French Knitting loom for larger strips that could be used in purse handles, etc. I am also thinking of ordering some more Pom Pom makers by clover. They work so well and I still want to make a pom pom rug.

Ghost, OUT!

You didn't mention the hook with the knitting needle tip. Love your new toys. I have a small French knitting knobby. The knitting thimble looks like a neat tool. Will have to get one of those.

A lot of people use the Flower Loom to make baby booties, like a tube sock (2 strands of ww yarn). I LOVE the clear plastic six prong "spoolie". Would love to know where you found that one!?

That will help out when I make my baby hats. The French Knitting loom looks interesting too.. thanks for all the ideas!

I've looked at those thimbles over and over again and wondered if they worked or were worth anything. Do you like it? I've had the dent in my finger often and know exactly to what you're referring to. Now that I crochet less, less of an issue. Can't do as much at one sitting as I used to with the elbow and writs problems, but still wonder about the tool.
