It appears that I am on a real kick here, even if not fast, I am steady and determined to finish my personal quota of hats and scarves for Metro Group. Here is another Red Heart Hula yarn scarf. I still have some left too. The stitch pattern is from Lion Brand and called
Openwork Scarf. I used an "H" hook but wish I had gone larger so it would of been more lacy.
Anyway, I did not make the scarf very long as I made a different type of closure for it. I finished it off with sc around then added a loop at the end to pull one end through and that is all. You can see a better picture of it at
Crafty Begonia's blog which is where I got the idea. And in case you don't remember the color from the last scarf it is Lemon Fizz.
This hat is just part of a set from
Favecrafts. I am currently working on the scarf. These two photos show the hat with the brim turned up and one with it just as is.
For this set I made the hat with Red Heart Strata in Berry Berry. Used a "K" hook and the pattern is from Bernat. This hat pattern is a little bit fussier than I like but it is not difficult.

Thanks for reminding us about the metro group project. I've been in the midst of baby blankets but do want to contribute to this group.

LOVE the gold color, it has a nice sheen to it. Do you like working with the larger hooks? I've not used one and wonder if they bother arthritis and carpal tunnel because of the size?
What a cool idea to make the flap to tuck the scarf in. I like that better than the keyhole design I've seen. Makes it lay smoother, no knot etc.
Believe I'll make one like that and see what I think. Do you basically just fold up and stitch the end large enough for the other side to go throw?

Love the color and pattern. I'm using a larger hook to use two strands for a red/white scarf for Washington Special Olympics. I got the pattern from Susie's Stuff, I believe.
It seems to go slow with a larger hook, some times I need to slow the mind with the hand, if you know what I mean. Have a great weekend.
