Wooleater Potholder

The links for this pattern can be found in a previous post I made so I won't mention them again now. I am using Bernat Handicrafter Cotton in Light Blue and Blueberry. But I made two sides one of each color and then crocheted them together to make one potholder with a hanger on it.

The colors are so close in shade that I really did not think you could see a difference in them if I worked them alternately on one side.

I did want a thick potholder so came up with the idea of putting two together to make one. I think it worked out well. This yarn does not have much give to it so you may not like using it for this project. I was not thrilled with the feel of this yarn after using itbut feel the results were what I expected. If you look closely you can see the other color through the holes.

I have spent some time weaving in ends on the GC CAL afghan. But I am getting a bit tired of working on it as I feel I will never finish it. I will of course but it feels like it is growing more complex as time goes on and that I am not making much of a dent. So, I will take it in small doses for a while and work on other things I have going as well.

Ghost, OUT!

I love the lacy look you got using the cotton!

Good idea sewing two together. I bet it was hard getting all those stitches in one hole with that cotton yarn, wasn't it? Love the colors.

And don't give up on the CAL blanket! (like I did! ha-ha)
